Shannon joined the team in August of 2022 as a specialist for the Advancement team and is based in Los Angeles, CA. She brings six years of experience in international healthcare, education, social entrepreneurship and market research – largely within the nonprofit industry – to support development of strategy and conduct research on advancement opportunities for US studios.
As the first graduate to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Leadership Studies at Belmont University, Shannon was challenged to think critically, embrace ambiguity and foster creativity on a global scale. She wrote an 80-page thesis on intersectional gender parity and the active involvement of women in the reconstruction of Rwanda. After graduation, she was awarded the Lumos Award where she traveled to Rwamagana, Rwanda to complete a self-designed project to research social justice initiatives. Upon completion, Shannon led large-scale educational experiences as a New Ventures Fellow at Akilah Institute. She also volunteered as a Board Member with Refugee Empowerment Support Taskforce to support Burundian and Rwandan refugee communities in the Mahama Refugee Camp. Upon returning stateside, Shannon spent two years in Boston, MA working in healthcare improvement and market research, most recently as a Research Project Coordinator leading operations and managing the methodological process for a leading research guide for the technical marketplace. Shannon is a professional singer and advocates for LGBTQIA+ communities.
Shannon is keen to dive into architecture and related design fields, contributing to an organization creating powerful, just and positive impacts.
